Music and Opportunity Those coming to the Abbey can listen to young musicians backed by the Future Talent organisation, co-founded by the Duchess of Kent to broaden opportunities for musical tuition. An 18-year-old named Carys Wood, who is a trumpet player and is from Wales, has been helped by the organisation, with grants helping towards instruments, tuition, and transportation expenses - and she said it was "awesome" to be performing at the concert. "Musical pursuits are frequently pricey," Carys said. She is now studying at the prestigious music academy, and added that "each individual ought to be given the possibility" to develop their musical skills. Generations Gathering Carys's 11-year-old sister, Eliza, who performs on the brass instrument, will be present at the Abbey.
