Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
